Subcision
Subcision is a minimally invasive dermatological procedure used to treat depressed scars, such as acne scars, by releasing fibrous bands that tether the skin to underlying tissue. During the procedure, a specialized needle is inserted beneath the scar to break the fibrotic strands, allowing the skin to lift naturally. This stimulates collagen production, improves skin texture, and reduces the appearance of scars over time. Subcision is safe, effective, and often combined with other treatments like microneedling or PRP for enhanced results, providing smoother and more even skin.
